My Painting Process

Here’s a glimpse into my painting process. First, I waste a lot of time surfing the internet do a lot of internet research and stumble onto some pretty fantastic images. This particular image was taken by Dave at Blogography during his trip to Crete. I emailed him and got permission to use his image. The original as he took it is below.

Then I edited the image to fit onto my 30″ x 30″ canvas. There was also motivation there to save on yellow paint!

The animation below details the building of my painting. I took pictures after each painting session. Painting sessions can typically last anywhere from 10 minutes to two hours.

And walah… not-so-instant artwork!
